Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan (2012 Update)
The Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan update will expand the planned recreational network to focus on both recreational and non-recreational trips and address mobility needs of pedestrians and cyclists. Based on public feedback, the plan will:
- Identify destinations
- Determine where better connections are needed
- Specify how connections are made (e.g. on-street, off street)
- Identify preferred route types (e.g. bike lane, bikeway, shared lane, etc.)
- Improve crossings at major barriers such as U.S. 59, S.H. 6, U.S. 90A and the railroad
City officials will incorporate all feedback into their decision process.
